About Jeff
I'm Jeff van der Heijden, a Dutch photographer and visual storyteller.
I've always been curious about people — how they live, what they make, where they come from and the stories they carry with them. Photography became a way for me to slow down and actually notice.
I like wandering without a fixed plan, talking to people I don't know and looking for the moments that would otherwise disappear unnoticed.
Before photography became the focus of my work, I spent years working in UX and UI design. That taught me to look closely at people, behaviour and the small details that shape an experience. I still bring that way of thinking into my photography. I don't just ask whether an image looks good — I ask whether it makes you feel something.
Today, I work at the intersection of travel, people and hospitality — creating visual stories for places that have something worth experiencing.
I'm not interested in making places look perfect. I'm interested in making people want to be there.
